Hello. So you want to know about me? I have been doing graphic design for 6 years professionally and several years before that as a hobby. I have worked in a wide range of industries and I have extensive experience in graphic and web design and digital photography. I have just recently started learning video shooting and editing.
In my most current position I am a senior marketing graphic designer. I am responsible for maintaining multiple websites, creating packaging, sell sheets, email newsletters and digital photography. I am responsible for all aspects of the design process from concept to pre-press to production. In recent months I have created several sales PowerPoint presentations that were essential in securing several retail accounts totally $2 million.
I got interested in graphics and photography when I began working for the Long Beach City College Newspaper "The Viking". I worked as a sports writer, and did desktop publishing. I also worked on the Long Beach City College Magazine "The City Magazine" as a reporter. This was my first introduction to graphic design on a professional level and I fell in love.
Through all my jobs I have found that graphics and photography are what I really love to do. I was also lucky enough to work as a morning show intern for the world famous radio DJ Uncle Joe Benson at Arrow 93.1 (now Jack FM). It was one of the most fun jobs I have ever had!
Most recently I received a Graphic Design Certificate and a Web Design Certificate from Golden West College in Huntington Beach, CA. I will complete a Visual Communications Certificate from Golden West this Spring. I also have a Bachelors degree from Cal State Fullerton in Communications and an Associates degree from Long Beach City College in Journalism.
I grew up in beautiful Long Beach, CA. I am the youngest of 16 children - I have 10 older brothers and 5 older sisters who are now scattered across the world.
